Hardship Fund
Going on strike involves sacrificing a day's pay. For teacher members, this is calculated at 1/365th of your annual salary before tax and other deductions. No one enjoys doing this but it is part of taking a principled stand.

Nevertheless, we recognise that for many members, the short-term loss will be felt keenly. Camden NEU has therefore established a hardship fund for those members who face the prospect of severe financial difficulties due to the pay sacrificed when on strike. Please read the following information that explains who is eligible and how to apply.
