2nd May - National Strike

The 32 London Districts, including Camden NEU, will be marching from the London Eye to The Department of Education and then onto Downing Street for a demonstration.  We need as many of you there as possible.

Ahead of council elections taking place across the country, and with teachers in Scotland now being paid significantly more than teachers in London, it is really important that education funding is in the news and that the government sees and hears us outside of their offices.

Please click here for details of the NEU's special dispensation designed to support provision for Years 11 and 13 on the strike day.

Members who face severe financial difficulty as a result of taking strike action should look at how to apply for the Camden Hardship Fund.  Click here.

Camden members will meet from 10:30 at the south-east corner of Jubilee Gardens.  The closest tube station is Waterloo.  Look for the banner.

We will form up with groups from the other London Districts at 11:15 and march to the Department of Education and then to Downing Street.  This is a short march of a 1.5 miles.
