UCL Academy 

Teachers and support staff at UCL Academy are taking part in strike action as a last resort - to stand up for a better school environment for children and all staff.

Concerns are:

• inconsistent and unsafe behaviour systems

• pressures on staff planning, preparation and assessment (PPA) time

• increasing workload and class size proposals

• threats to job security

• staff well-being and absence policies

• leadership and communication issues

• insufficient action against discrimination

Demands are:

• a consistent safe approach to behaviour

• protected time for teaching, planning and recovery

• a fair workload and stable staffing

• a school culture rooted in respect and inclusion

• open, honest conversations to resolve issues

Everything UCL Academy NEU members are asking for supports a safe, stable, and high-quality education for UCL Academy children. When staff are respected and supported, students thrive too. We are ready to work with school leaders to find fair solutions. We're taking this action because we care - about our students, our school, and its future.
